Whimsical Destination Wedding in Phuket Under Twinkling Lights

Ok, it’s official. Phuket is the whimsical destination wedding location of our DREAMS! With stunning ocean views with a mountainous backdrop, May, from ME Events Phuket, planned an unforgettable al fresco wedding complete with a massive circular ceremony arch of white roses and hydrangeas, ghost chairs and an intimate reception under twinkling lights with pops of blue. Darin Images was there to capture all the magic and darling moments in between.

How did your fiancé propose?
He took me out for a beautiful trip in Napa Valley wine country where we spent the entire day together tasting wine during the wonderful summer weather. Just before dinner, he surprised me by getting down on one knee and proposing in front of the beautiful sunset! Of course, I said yes and the rest is history.

Where did you find inspiration for your wedding?
I always wanted to have an intimate outdoor beach wedding, so we worked with our wedding planner to figure out the details. May from ME Events turned out to be an excellent choice that really helped us bring our vision to life.

How did you choose your wedding venue?
We knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in Thailand and we had both visited Phuket before, so we thought that would be the perfect location. We wanted beautiful outdoor photography, so we decided to rent out Impiana Villa and invite our family and close friends.

Were there any specific elements that were important to include?
We definitely wanted to splurge on the photos, so we talked to lots of photographers before deciding to go with Darin Images, who turned out to be the perfect fit. We also wanted plenty of healthy food options and fortunately, our caterer can serve delicious canape with vegetarian options.
